The DMC occurrence is located east of Gaffney Creek and approximately 4.4 kilometres south of the creeks’ confluence with the Omineca River.

The area is underlain by the contact of Triassic Takla Group sedimentary rocks on the west in contact with Upper Palaeozoic sediments of the Nina Creek Group on the east.

Locally, a carbonate outcrop with a quartz vein contains chalcopyrite and malachite.

In 2008, a sample assayed 12.2 grams per tonne silver and 0.026 per cent copper (Assessment Report 30701).

Work History

In 2006, Spanish Mountain Gold Ltd conducted a comprehensive soil and silt sampling program within the MC property within the Manson Creek area covering approximately 54 000 hectares in area. In total 962 soil samples, 52 silt samples and 52 heavy mineral samples were collected.

In 2008, Spanish Mountain Gold Ltd. completed a program of rock sampling and a 1580.0 line-kilometre airborne magnetic and electromagnetic survey on the area.
